Cresent Fine Furniture
At Cresent Fine Furniture, fine craftsmanship is a family tradition.
For seven decades, Cresent Fine Furniture has staked our reputation on providing high-quality solid wood furniture at an outstanding value. Now in our third generation of family ownership and hands-on management, we strive every day to carry on this tradition and uphold our hard-earned reputation.
Over many years, master cabinetmakers have developed a set of woodworking methods and standards that have become the basis for all fine joinery. At Cresent, we employ these same time-tested standards to construct heirloom-quality furniture that will stand the test of time. Starting with the finest solid wood species—such as Black Cherry, Maple, Mahogany, Oak, and Poplar—we build our furniture one piece at a time using traditional techniques like floating construction, mortise and tenon joinery, wood framed dustproofing, and English dovetailed solid-wood drawers. Solid wood is subject to significant expansion and contraction resulting from moisture changes throughout a calendar year. We utilize hardwood veneers only when we determine the quality of the furniture will be improved. An example of this is found in Inset Panels on beds and cases. Veneered panels are much more stable and provide superior longevity and fewer service issues than solid equivalents. For these reasons, we use veneered panels and bed rails to improve the quality of Cresent furniture.
However, at Cresent we don’t stop there. To provide the customer with the ultimate in form and function, we combine these traditional joinery techniques with modern conveniences and adaptations that make your life more enjoyable and that make our furniture truly second to none.
