Stanley Preserve St. Helena Trestle Table in Orchid
Retreat to the dining room for the unmatched grace and simplicity of the St. Helena Trestle Table. Hand-painted striping, antiqued hues, and an aged-looking husk top are alluring and composed.
Stanley Furniture’s latest dining collection, Newel, is a relaxed oering influenced by the Arts & Crafts and New School movements, with a focus on structural elements as design. At home in an urban loft or in a farmhouse, Newel presents eight designs to bridge a multitude of style directions. Beyond an industrial look and feel of the product designs, a focal point of the portfolio is the wood grain. Newel works with the natural characteristics of oak to create pieces with depth and dimension, to celebrate the wood’s grain minus excess ornamentation. The finish for the collection, Date, further highlights the inherent beauty of the wood. Date is a tobacco color, hand-applied and hand-aged by master artisans, over white oak veneers. Textural elements abound in Newel, from the tray created by exposed apron blocks to the metal accent band encircling the rectangular dining table. Details such as high-low veneers on the Buet’s drawer fronts lend visual dimension. The finishing touch is hardware inspired by vintage industrial design with an antiqued brass finish that is both functional and beautiful.
